Kevin James Parks

Kevin James Parks has a diverse work experience history. Kevin James started their career at Cegep du Vieux Montreal as a Team Leader for the Formule CVM FSAE team from September 2012 to May 2014. Kevin James then worked as a Special Projects Technician at Building Science at UL from May 2014 to August 2014. Following this, they worked as a Research and Development Intern at Hutchinson from June 2015 to November 2015.

From September 2014 to August 2015, Kevin was a Vehicle Dynamics & Simulation Team Member at Formule ETS Montréal, where they were involved in designing, developing, and testing a decoupled suspension damping system. Kevin James also served as a Vehicle Dynamics Lead at the same company from September 2015 to July 2016, acting as a project manager for the vehicle dynamics group. Under their leadership, the team won multiple awards, including the Engineering Design Event and Overall Victory at Formula North in 2015.

Kevin then worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Tesla from May 2017 to August 2018. During their time there, they contributed to the full-stack programming of a web platform for the Vehicle Dynamics Modeling team. Kevin James also developed software tools and methods to enhance simulation and data processing efficiency.

Next, Kevin joined BRP as a Product Development Intern for Can-Am Spyder from January 2016 to April 2016. Kevin James later joined Tourlane and held various roles, starting as a Software Developer from September 2018 to April 2019. Kevin James then served as a Data Engineer from May 2019 to December 2019 before transitioning into the role of Technical Product Manager - Data & Analytics from December 2019 to October 2020.

Currently, Kevin is employed at Vay as a Technical Program Manager, a role they held from October 2020 to May 2021. Kevin James was then promoted to the position of Senior Technical Program Manager from June 2021 to May 2022. Following this, they served as an Engineering Manager, Data Platform & Business Intelligence at the same company from May 2022 to April 2023. Kevin James is currently working as the Chief of Staff - Engineering at Vay, starting from April 2023.

Kevin James Parks has a diverse education history. Kevin James first attended Collège Durocher Saint-Lambert from 2006 to 2011, where they obtained a College Degree in General Studies. Following this, from 2011 to 2014, they attended Cégep du Vieux Montréal and earned a Technical College degree in Mechanical Engineering.

In 2015, Kevin pursued foreign languages and literatures, specifically German, as an Independent Student at UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal. Kevin James'sstudies in this field lasted for one year.

Continuing their education, Kevin attended École de technologie supérieure from 2016 to 2018. During this period, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Software Engineering.

More recently, Kevin enrolled at IU International University of Applied Sciences in 2022 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Business.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Kevin has obtained various certifications. In May 2020, they obtained a certification in Technical Program Management from Udemy. Kevin James also completed the course "The Ultimate Hands-On Hadoop - Tame your Big Data" from Udemy in the same month. In June 2018, Kevin earned a certification in "Become a Product Manager | Learn the Skills & Get the Job" from Udemy. Furthermore, in May 2018, they completed the Level 3 Test Driver Training program offered by the Transportation Research Center Inc. Kevin also possesses certifications in blockchain and bitcoin fundamentals from Udemy (November 2017), data-driven performance engineering seminar from OptimumG (September 2016), and applied vehicle dynamics seminar also from OptimumG (September 2015).
