Ran Barak

Ran Barak is an experienced embedded software engineer currently working at Vayyar Imaging since April 2022. Prior to this, Ran held the position of FPGA & SOC Algorithm Team Leader at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems from January 2015 to November 2021, managing a team of five engineers and serving as the lead architect for algorithm implementation. Ran also worked as an FPGA & SOC Algorithm Designer, focusing on board design and developing algorithms with high-level synthesis tools. Before joining Rafael, Ran served as a Commander in the Israeli Navy from 2010 to 2012, overseeing the specification and characterization of submarine defense systems and commanding a naval submarine training course. Ran Barak holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, obtained in 2017.
