Frans van Gerwen

Frans van Gerwen currently serves as a Sr. Designer at VDL ETG since November 2006, focusing on the design of equipment for the semiconductor industry within the Development & Engineering department. Prior to this role, Frans worked as a Project Engineer at Philips from October 1996 to November 2006, where responsibilities included engineering and realization of production lines for consumer goods. Experience also includes a position as a Mechanical Engineer at Fujifilm from August 1990 to September 1996, upgrading production lines and performing maintenance tasks, as well as working as a Constructeur at Neitraco Groep from 1984 to 1990, engaged in drafting and designing mechanical equipment. Frans’s career began as a Technisch Specialist at Mammoet from June 1983 to August 1984, focusing on heavy transport and installation at oil and gas terminals. Frans holds a Bachelor's degree in Werktuigbouwkunde from Fontys University of Applied Sciences, completed in 1989, and further education at Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen from 1991 to 1992.
