Graduate Researcher at Vector Institute

Rex Ma is a Graduate Researcher at the Vector Institute since September 2020, contributing to the Wang Lab with a focus on machine learning, AI in healthcare, and computational biology. Concurrently, Rex serves as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto for various computer science courses, including Neural Networks and Deep Learning. Previously, Rex worked as a Machine Learning Scientist at Fable Therapeutics, an Undergraduate Machine Learning Intern at University Health Network, and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. Rex's early experience includes a software internship at IBM, where proficiency in debugging and development was honed. Educationally, Rex is pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Toronto, following a Bachelor of Applied Science and Engineering in Computer Engineering from the same institution.
