Rob Naccarato has extensive experience in the field of scientific computing and infrastructure management. Rob'smost recent position is the Director of Scientific Computing at the Vector Institute, where they are responsible for building and leading a team that develops and maintains tools to support advanced research computing and systems engineering in Artificial Intelligence. Prior to that, Rob worked at The Hospital for Sick Children as the Senior Manager of the High-Performance Facility and the Technical Director of HPC4Health, where they managed a team of system administrators and oversaw the infrastructure for high-performance computing and private cloud computing. Before that, Rob worked at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, first as the Manager of Research IT Infrastructure and Infrastructure Architect, leading a team responsible for building and operating the High-Performance Computing infrastructure, and then as a Systems Architect, designing and architecting technology infrastructures. Earlier in their career, Rob worked at TUCOWS, Inc. as a Systems Architect, where they provided architecture and design for new service introductions and infrastructure changes.
Rob Naccarato attended Sheridan College from 1990 to 1993, where they graduated with a Diploma, High Honors. Rob studied Computer Systems Analysis/Analyst during their time there.
