Jimmy Shum

Jimmy joined Vectr in 2017 as the Head of Finance and oversees the company’s finance functions and portfolio monitoring. Jimmy leverages his previous corporate experience of servicing private equity and venture capital clients to assist our investment team on initial due diligence and screening of investments, deal structuring and valuation. Jimmy also oversees financial reporting matters and assists with investor relations.

Prior to joining Vectr, Jimmy was a senior manager at Ernst & Young (“EY”). At EY, Jimmy specialized in working with the industry’s top private equity and venture capital clients. Jimmy was the lead senior manager servicing Baring Private Equity Asia, and it's $11bn private equity fund. His other notable representative clients included Primavera Capital Group, CreditEase Wealth Management, IDG Capital Partners, Anchor Equity Partners and ADV Partners. Jimmy advised his clients on complex financial reporting matters, audits, valuation, deal structuring, carried interest waterfall calculations, etc.

Jimmy also spent 10 years working in New York City at two large national accounting firms, spending 90% of his time working with private equity and venture capital clients. Jimmy is a licensed C.P.A. in the state of New York and is currently a CFA Level 2 candidate.
