Alex Stevens has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and research development. Alex started their career as an English teacher in 2014 before transitioning into technical roles. Alex worked as an intern at Ideal Instruments Inc., where they researched and developed firmware for displays on new instruments. Alex then worked as a software engineer for a private contractor, where they developed entire systems from the ground up using C/C++, C#, and Java. Alex also gained experience in developing embedded systems as well as Windows, Linux, and Android applications. Alex later joined 2DFire Technologies Limited as a software engineer, where they developed and supported middleware for Android systems using the Android NDK and Linux servers. Alex then worked at Lockheed Martin as a software engineer, primarily focusing on developing and verifying flight software for NASA's Orion project. Alex also took on the responsibility of being a regional build manager and developing automation tools. After that, Alex worked as a software engineer at Houston Mechatronics, Inc., contributing to the development of automation systems and specializing in ROS and ROS2 development for energy team projects. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Research Development and a Senior Software Engineer at Vedo Systems.
Alex Stevens attended Thomas Edison State University from 2012 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science. Alex then studied Foreign Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at Tianjin University from 2013 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Machine Learning in 2017 and Introduction to TensorFlow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning in 2019 from Coursera.
