Duane Geerlings

Duane Geerlings is an experienced control system engineer currently employed at Vekoma Rides since February 2017, where projects are executed under the placement of Simac Quadcore B.V. Prior to this role, Duane worked as a Medior Automation Engineer at Simac Quadcore B.V. and held multiple positions as a PLC Control Engineer at Smit Thermal Solutions BV, Global Oven Systems BV, and Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine Europe B.V. from December 2016 to February 2017, all under the same company placement. Previous experience also includes a role as a PLC Control Engineer at Technix BV, as well as a master thesis internship at Actemium Belgium focused on plant asset management. Duane holds a Master's degree in Industrial Sciences: Electromechanics - Automation from KU Leuven, completed in 2016, and an Academic Bachelor's degree in Industrial Sciences (Electromechanics) from the same institution, achieved in 2015, along with secondary education in Sciences-Mathematics from WICO Campus Mater Dei.
