Daniel Rooney

Daniel Rooney is the current Global Head of Sales at Vela. Daniel has held this position since April 2015. Prior to that, they were with Eze Software Group from July 2014 to January 2015 as Senior Managing Director of Sell-Side Sales. From March 2004 to April 2011, they were Managing Director of Business Development & Sales at ConvergEx Group/LiquidPoint. Daniel has been responsible for leading a world class sales team offering global market access. Vela delivers low-latency access to over 200 venues, coupled with a unique set of trading tools including liquidity discovery, execution, risk management, data and analytics, flexibly delivered with exceptional global support.

Daniel Rooney attended Marquette University where they studied finance and general business. After graduation, they began their career in the financial industry.

Their manager is Jennifer Nayar, CEO. Daniel Rooney works with Ollie Cadman - Global Head of Product Management and Business Operations, Wendy Chan - Global Head of Marketing, and Stephen Mathey - CFO.
