Sheruni Fernando

Sheruni Fernando has had four work experiences to date.

In 2020, they served as the Chairperson for the IEEE WIE Affinity Group of IIT.

In 2021, Sheruni worked as a Front End Developer Intern at Velaris from June 2021 to September 2022.

From 2022 to 2023, they held the role of Publicity Lead - Technical Activities Sub Committee at IEEE.

Starting in 2023, Sheruni has been working as a Software Engineer at Velaris.

Sheruni Fernando completed their primary and secondary education at Holy Family Convent in Colombo 4 from 2006 to 2019.

In 2019, they enrolled in the Informatics Institute of Information Technology Private Limited and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Software Engineering, which is expected to be completed in 2023.

Additionally, Sheruni has obtained several certifications, including "Learning Cryptography and Network Security," "Artificial Intelligence Foundations: Neural Networks," "Introduction to Data Science," "Parallel and Concurrent Programming with Java 1," "Programming Foundations: APIs and Web Services," "Git Essential Training: The Basics," "Learning React.js," and "Advanced Python." These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn, with the latest obtained in March 2023.
