Elizabeth Velez

Elizabeth Velez has a diverse work experience. Elizabeth is currently a member of the National Academy of Construction since October 2023. In 2022, they served as a board member for the New York City Economic Development Corporation. From January 2020 to February 2022, they were the Chairperson and later the Chair Emeritus of the New York Building Congress. Elizabeth also served on the Zarb School of Business Advisory Board at Hofstra University starting in 2021. Elizabeth is a member of the New York City Police Foundation Board of Trustees since 2020. Additionally, Elizabeth has been the President of the Velez Organization since 1989. In February 2022, they became a board member and Chairperson of the Diversity Committee for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, a role they held until June 2023.

Elizabeth Velez has obtained a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Business, Finance, and Management from Hofstra University.
