Bianca Lam

Bianca Lam has a strong background in scientific research and leadership roles. Bianca is currently working as a Senior Principal Scientist at Velia since June 2022. Prior to that, they held the same position at Trotana Therapeutics from January 2022 to June 2022.

From 2015 to 2022, Bianca worked at GNF in various positions. Bianca started as a Scientific Technical Leader I in July 2015 and was promoted to a Scientific Technical Leader II in September 2018. In March 2020, they became a Principal Scientist II before leaving in January 2022.

Before joining GNF, Bianca served as a Staff Scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific from October 2013 to June 2015. Bianca also gained valuable experience at Life Technologies, working as a Scientist III from June 2010 to April 2012 and as a Staff Scientist from April 2012 to October 2013. At Life Technologies, they focused on synthetic biology custom services, product launches, and service workflow design.

Prior to their industry experience, Bianca worked as a Research Associate at The Scripps Research Institute from September 2005 to June 2010, where they received guidance from Gerald F. Joyce, MD. Bianca also worked as a Graduate Student at the University of California, Irvine from 2000 to 2005, and as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of California, San Diego from January 1999 to January 2000.

Throughout their career, Bianca has demonstrated expertise in scientific research, synthetic biology, cloning techniques, and laboratory management.

Bianca Lam obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology from UC San Diego from 1996 to 2000. Bianca then pursued further education and obtained a PhD in Biology from UC Irvine, which took place from 2000 to 2005.
