Michelle Gaylord has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. Michelle is currently working as the Principal Scientist and Protein Expression Lead at Velia since September 2022. Their responsibilities included laboratory management, research supervision, manuscript review for peer-reviewed journals, and development of novel assays and laboratory techniques.

Michelle Gaylord completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Toxicology from Ashland University during the period of 1994 to 1998. Michelle then pursued further education and obtained a Masters Degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from UC Santa Barbara from 1998 to 2001.
