Mark Stiles

Mark Stiles has had a long and varied career in web development. Mark began their career in 2005 as a Contract ASP Developer at Digital Bungalow, where they helped implement the design work on the original http://www.livlux.com. In 2006, they worked as a Jr. Developer at HNW, where they developed the Publisher application and built micro-sites for clients. Later that same year, they joined Agency Oasis as a Jr.-Sr. .NET / PHP Application Developer, where they were a Certified Developer for the Sitecore CMS and developed sites using the Ektron CMS. In 2010, they moved to Genzyme, where they were the Manager of Web Development and oversaw a large multi-site Sitecore installation. In this role, they provided guidance to vendors and managed the integration of their projects into the larger system. Mark also developed solutions to grow the system and maintained stability through web/unit testing. In 2015, they joined XCentium as an Architect and Velir as a Technical Director and Principal Developer. At Velir, they are a Sitecore consultant responsible for designing implementations, handling upgrades, and adding/updating features on existing sites. Mark is also developing machine learning/artificial intelligence (ML/AI) enabled tools to accelerate content authoring and provide visitors a top quality experience.

Mark Stiles obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University between 1999 and 2004. Mark then went on to earn a Master's degree in Applied Data Science from Syracuse University between 2022 and 2023. Mark also holds a Sitecore Level 2 Certification from the Sitecore Corporation.
