Alison Leaf

Alison Leaf is a Senior Director of Ecosystems at Velsera, a position held since January 2023 following the merger of Seven Bridges, Pierian, and UGentec. Previously, Alison served as Associate Director of Programs at Seven Bridges from July 2017 to January 2023, where operations for the Programs department were led, overseeing budget creation for cloud ecosystem programs. Additional roles at Seven Bridges included Senior Program Manager and Scientific Program Manager, contributing to the development of bioinformatic solutions for biomedical data. Prior to that, Alison was a Hellman Fellow in Science and Technology Policy at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences from September 2015 to July 2017, focusing on projects at the intersection of science and society. Alison holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry from Cornell University.
