Branden Nelsen

Branden Nelsen is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in cloud engineering, network management, and infrastructure security. Currently serving as Lead Cloud Engineer at Venerable since April 2023, Branden previously held positions including Network and Virtualization IT Manager and System Administrator Cloud Services at the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services. Branden has a strong background with Aureon as Manager of Infrastructure and Information Security, alongside roles as Senior System Administrator and Supervisor of EndPoint Technology Services. Early career milestones include Senior LAN Administrator for the State of Iowa's DHS Enterprise Wide Area Network and various technical positions at CompUSA. Branden holds a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from Simpson College, an Associate of Science degree from Des Moines Area Community College, and has completed coursework at The Art Institutes.
