Iqbal then pursued further studies at the Industrial Toxicology Research Center in Lucknow, India, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry. Following this, they completed a post-doctoral program in Drug Metabolism at the Wadsworth Center For Labs & Research in Albany, New York.
