Paul Muehr has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. In 2019, they became the Principal Performance Engineer & Team Lead at Ventana Micro Systems, a RISC-V CPU startup still in stealth mode. From 2015 to 2019, they were a Mobile CPU (ARM) Performance Analysis Engineer at Samsung Electronics America, where they were responsible for providing the iterative effort of improving CPU performance through the use of instruction trace capture, simulation, and analysis. From 2012 to 2015, they were the Co-founder & V.P. of Business Development at Logic Refinery, Inc., an Electronic Design Automation (EDA) enterprise software startup. At AMD from 1996 to 2012, they held various positions, including Manager and Member of Technical Staff (MTS) Engineer, Senior Product Development Engineer in the Microprocessor Design Team, Senior Product Development Engineer in the Microprocessor Chipset Design Team, and Product Development Engineer I-II in the Embedded Processor Division.
Paul Muehr has completed four degrees in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Management and Finance, and Computer Engineering. Paul obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Texas A&M University between 1989 and 1995. Paul then went on to earn a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Walden University between 1997 and 2003. Finally, they completed an MBA in Management and Finance from The University of Texas at Austin between 2004 and 2006.
