Subrahmanya Lingappa has over 16 years of experience in software engineering. Subrahmanya began their career in 2005 at L&T Emsys in Mysore as a Software Engineer, where they worked with Linux Kernel and GNU toolchain. In 2006, they joined Mindtree as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on VXWorks Kernel, GNU toolchain, SRP, and Infiniband protocols. In 2010, they moved to EMC as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked with C Programming, proprietary Kernel, and GNU toolchain on FC and SCSI protocols. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Senior Staff Software Engineer at LSI Corporation, where they worked with C Programming, proprietary Kernel, and GNU toolchain on SAS/SCSI protocols. In 2014, they joined Mobiveil Inc. as a Lead Engineer, where they worked on NVMe SSD firmware Architect, Altera and Xilinx FPGA tools and evaluation boards bring up, and designed and developed NVMe SSD firmware. From 2014 to 2019, they were a Consultant Engineer at StorNetWare Systems, where they worked on C Programming, FreeBSD, NetBSD Kernel and GNU toolchain with ATA Over Ethernet (AoE) protocol, developed a storage system with target and initiator NetBSD drivers based on AoE, and developed Cache manager, RAID, volume manager, and configuration utility for the same storage system. Subrahmanya is currently a Technologist, R & D Engineering at Western Digital since 2019.
Subrahmanya Lingappa completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from Visvesvaraya Technological University between 1999 and 2003. In 2011, they completed a Basic Mountaineering Course from Nehru Institude of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi, specializing in Mountaineering.
