Omar Morales

Omar Morales has a diverse work experience in various roles within the energy industry. Omar is currently the Director of Engineering at Venture Global LNG since 2023. Prior to this, they were the Director of Operations and Project Management at ADVANO from 2020 to 2023, where they led strategy for battery manufacturing facilities and managed day-to-day operations. Before that, Omar held multiple positions at Shell, including Deputy Topsides Project Manager from 2018 to 2020, Offshore Coordination Senior Project Engineer in 2017, and Senior Project Engineer from 2015 to 2017. Omar also worked at Shell Oil Company as a Project Engineer from 2010 to 2014 and as a Rotating Equipment Engineer from 2008 to 2010.

Omar Morales obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University, where they studied from 2003 to 2008. Omar also holds additional certifications, including Excel/VBA for Creative Problem Solving from the University of Colorado Boulder, Machine Learning from Stanford University, and a Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board (LAPELS). Omar has also completed additional courses and certifications, such as Excel/VBA for Creative Problem Solving Part 2 and a Level 1 Project Engineer certification from the Association for Project Management.
