Josh Makower

Josh Makower is a distinguished academic and entrepreneur, currently serving as Professor of Medicine and Bioengineering at Stanford University School of Medicine, as well as Director and Co-Founder of the Stanford Mussallem Center for Biodesign since August 2021. With a robust background in medical technology, Josh Makower founded and leads multiple ventures, including ExploraMed Development, LLC, and Willow Innovations, Inc. Notably, Josh Makower has played pivotal roles at companies such as Coravin and Moximed, and has recently taken on advisory and board positions with Patient Square Capital, Elevage Medical Technologies, and Sofinnova Partners. Josh Makower holds an M.D. from NYU Grossman School of Medicine, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
