Tom Knitter

Tom Knitter is an experienced professional in the field of biogas and anaerobic digestion, currently serving as the Process Manager for the Osberstown Sludge Treatment Facility at Veolia Ireland since July 2013. Tom's expertise includes process commissioning, mechanical design, and optimization of advanced sludge treatment systems, alongside responsibilities for economical plant efficiency assessments and interconnection management of treatment systems. Previously, Tom held roles at PlanET Biogas Group, where Tom focused on project development and sales, and at the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, providing technical consultations and management for bioenergy initiatives. Tom's early career included operational management of biogas plants at Schmack Biogas AG. Educational qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Process Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg and further specialized training from Renewables Academy AG.
