John Hawkin

John Hawkin is a highly experienced data scientist currently serving as Lead Data Scientist at Verafin, a position held since January 2013, having previously worked as a Senior Data Scientist, Data Scientist/Product Owner, and Analytics Developer within the same company. Prior to this, John gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Alberta from January 2009 to December 2013. Educationally, John holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the University of Alberta (2006-2014), a Master of Science in Computational Astrophysics from Memorial University, Newfoundland and Labrador (2004-2006), and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Physics from Memorial University, Newfoundland and Labrador (1999-2004).
