Jade Owen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Most recently, Jade worked as a Senior Scientist II at Veranova starting in June 2022.
Prior to this, Jade held various positions at different companies. From 2015 onwards, Jade worked at the Society of Chemical Industry as the SCI Agriscience and SCI Formulation Social Media Co-ordinator, managing the social media platforms and assisting with the newly formed SCI Formulation group.
In 2012, Jade served as the LinkedIn Group Manager for ICP-OES and ICP-MS, where Jade set up and managed a LinkedIn group focused on Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectroscopy, facilitating knowledge exchange and providing a platform for businesses to promote their products.
Before joining Veranova, Jade spent time at Johnson Matthey as a Senior Scientist II and Senior Scientist in Analytical Research & Development from 2019 to 2022. Jade's responsibilities included method development, validation, and analytical research.
From 2013 to 2019, Jade worked at Intertek Melbourn as a Senior Scientist and Scientist, specializing in method development and validation.
Additionally, Jade gained experience as a Commonwealth Games Anti-Doping Analyst in 2014 at King's College London - Drug Control Centre.
Jade started their career at the University of Hertfordshire in 2009 as a Research PhD Student and Visiting Lecturer, conducting research on elemental profiles and working with various analytical techniques.
Before that, Jade held roles as an Olympic Anti-Doping Analyst at GlaxoSmithKline/London Drug Control Centre and as a Lab Technician at TrichoTech Ltd.

Jade Owen began their education in 2005 at the University of South Wales, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc Hons) in Forensic Science. Jade completed their undergraduate studies in 2009. Following this, Jade Owen furthered their education at the University of Hertfordshire from 2009 to 2013. Here, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Analytical Chemistry.
