Khairul Ansari (He)

Khairul Ansari has extensive work experience in the field of biomedical research and development, with a focus on oncology and precision medicine. Khairul's most recently worked as a Principal Scientist at VERAVAS, Inc. starting in 2023. Prior to that, from 2022 to 2023, he held the position of Sr Scientist- Program Lead at INOVIQ Ltd, where he played a key role in leading scientific programs.

From 2019 to 2022, Khairul worked as a Senior Scientist at Celcuity, where he was involved in the brain metastases tumor program and played a significant role in the development of Celcuity's signature CELsignia functional diagnostic test.

Preceding his tenure at Celcuity, Khairul worked at the City of Hope from 2015 to 2019, holding the position of Staff Scientist. Here, his research was primarily centered on breast cancer brain metastases and leptomeningeal metastases. During this period, he established and managed a neuro-oncology team and created various preclinical models for investigating metastatic cancers

Before his role at City of Hope, from 2013 to 2015, Khairul served as a Research Scientist at BWH, Harvard Medical School. In this capacity, his focus was on glioblastoma therapeutics, and he conducted research into the regulation of glioblastoma pathogenesis through microRNA and long non-coding RNA

Khairul also has experience working as an Adjunct Faculty and Research Scientist at The University of Texas at Arlington from 2006 to 2013. In these roles, he studied histone methylases in hematopoietic stem cell differentiation and malignancies, leading a research team and conducting studies on epigenetic mechanisms of gene transcription and cancer pathogenesis.

Khairul Ansari's education history began in 1998 when they enrolled at AAU in Jorhat, Assam, India. Khairul pursued and completed a Master's degree in Biotechnology from AAU, which lasted from 1998 to 2000. Following this, they went on to join University College Dublin in 2000, where he obtained another Master's degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, completing it by 2002. Finally, Khairul Ansari pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The National University of Ireland, Dublin (NUID/UCD), which spanned from 2002 to 2006.
