Daniele Horton

Daniele Horton is the Founder and CEO of Verdani Partners since 2012. Daniele has nearly 20 years of experience in sustainability, real estate, project management, and architecture. In addition, they are the Founder and Board Member of Verdani Institute for the Built Environment, a non-profit organization focused on promoting sustainability in the global building sector. Daniele has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Diego School of Business. Daniele has served as an ESG Advisor for Parkway Properties, PCCP, LLC, CommonWealth Partners, Clarion Partners LLC, Jamestown, GID Investment Advisers LLC, and American Realty Advisors, where they have been responsible for managing sustainability performance and implementing sustainability programs.

Daniele Horton's education history begins in 1996 when they attended PUC - Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás, where they obtained a degree in Architecture & Urban Planning with a focus on Architectural and Building Sciences/Technology. After this, they went on to attend UCLA from 2001 to 2003, where they pursued a degree in Construction Management through the UCLA Extension program. In 2004, Daniele enrolled at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, graduating in 2005 with a degree in Sustainable Development.

In addition to their formal education, Daniele has obtained several certifications throughout their career. These include becoming a Counselor of Real Estate through The Counselors of Real Estate® in May 2023, a Fitwel Ambassador through the Center for Active Design in January 2023, and an AIA certification through the NCARB in December 2016. Daniele also earned the designation of LEED Fellow from the Green Business Certification, Inc. in 2015 and became a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) through The Association of Energy Engineers in January 2012. Daniele holds a California Real Estate License issued by DRE CA in 2007 and obtained the LEED AP O+M certification from USGBC in November 2003. Daniele also obtained a Professional Designation in Construction Management from UCLA Extension in September 2003.
