Ilana Cukier

Ilana Cukier is a seasoned professional in the field of sustainability and policy, currently serving as a Senior Policy Officer, Campaigner, and Program Manager at Milieudefensie since September 2021. Prior to this role, Ilana worked as a Program Manager at Bureau 8080, where expertise was applied in developing sustainable policies and innovative waste management programs. Ilana’s extensive background includes serving as a Campaign Strategist at BKB | Het Campagnebureau, where strategic campaigns on diverse topics were led. Experience also includes organizing human rights events as Secretary at the Senior Fellow Network Board of Humanity in Action The Netherlands and various educational roles. Ilana holds a Master’s degree in History of International Relations from the University of Amsterdam and has studied History at both Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the University of Amsterdam.
