Eric Bensen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Eric started their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Minnesota in 1999, where they worked in the laboratory of Dr. Judith Berman, specializing in C. elegans research. In 2004, Bensen joined MD Biosciences as a Senior Scientist, eventually becoming the Vice President of In Vitro Laboratory Services. At MD Biosciences, they were responsible for establishing and managing the in vitro services laboratory, developing and marketing anti-inflammatory cell-based assays, and implementing quality-based methodologies. In 2011, Bensen became the President of USA Mobile Drug Testing of Minneapolis, a role they held until 2015. Currently, they serve as the VP of Research and Development at Vergent Bioscience, a position they have held since 2015.
Eric Bensen obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Eric later pursued higher education and earned their Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from UCLA, completing their doctoral studies from 1992 to 1999.
