Sergiu Dombrov has worked in the software engineering field since 2005. Sergiu began their career at Topaz SA as an Engineer in 2005. Sergiu then moved to IMESoft in the same year, where they designed and built a module to generate and export reports in different formats for a Digital Library System. In 2006, they worked at IME Romania as a Software Engineer, where they were involved in the implementation and design of an Integrated Library System. From 2011 to 2017, they worked at SIVECO Romania as a Software Engineer, where they maintained and improved an automated data processing module and reporting. From 2017 to 2022, they worked at Kambi as a Software Engineer, where they were involved in the creation of a new software development department and acted as a Scrum Master. Finally, they are currently working at Veridium as a Software Engineer, where they are responsible for maintenance and improvements of a system designed to provide Single Sign On experience using multi-factor biometric authentication.
Sergiu Dombrov obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems and Computers from the Technical University of Moldova between 2001 and 2005. Sergiu then obtained a SCJP6 certification from Oracle in October 2011. In 2013, they obtained a Principles of Reactive Programming certification from Coursera in December, and a Functional Programming Principles in Scala certification from Coursera in May. In 2016, they obtained a Parallel programming certification from Coursera Course Certificates in October. In 2017, they obtained a Big Data Analysis with Scala and Spark certification from Coursera Course Certificates in April. Finally, they obtained a DevOps Foundations: Containers certification from LinkedIn in October 2021.
