Chris Tse has held a number of roles in the tech industry since 2001. Chris began their career as the Chief Technologist at The Grow Network/McGraw-Hill, where they architected the core data warehouse and customizable analytics system, as well as an XML-based dynamic publishing pipeline. In 2004, they took on the role of Product Designer at Civil Engines Research. In 2007, they became the Senior Director of Innovation at BusinessWeek, leading the design and development of social media and dynamic publishing applications. In 2009, they joined Apostolist Music as their Resident Composer & Producer, producing their first studio album and creating an e-commerce-enabled sheet music catalog. In 2010, they took on the role of Senior Director, Head of Research and Development, MHE Labs at McGraw-Hill Education, designing and developing the successor to the digital textbook with HTML5 apps and big data. Chris was also the Co-founder & Seed Investor at Advisoray Club, orchestrating and funding the creation of a membership-based community, and the Composer & Musical Director at Shiny Nickel Productions, creating an original musical. In 2014, they became the Co-Founder & CTO of Monegraph Inc., leading the design and development of decentralized media markets, and the Founding Director of Cardstack Foundation, where they are architecting and building the experience layer of the decentralized Internet. In 2016, they co-founded Verifi Media, building open-sourced software that bridges existing music databases and blockchain-based registries.
Chris Tse earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Columbia University in 1998, having started their studies there in 1994.
