Michael Hochholzer

Michael Hochholzer is an accomplished venture capital executive currently serving as Managing Director at Giesecke+Devrient Ventures since July 2018, focusing on innovative European startups in the security sector. In addition to this role, Michael holds various positions on the boards of several companies, including Yields.io, Salv, Build38, and Verimi, among others. Previously, Michael was a Director at next47, where responsibilities included heading the Practice Industry, and served as Managing Partner at Siemens Venture Capital, focusing on technology scouting and financing for industrial markets. Michael earned a Ph.D. in Electronics and a Dipl.-Ing. in Electronics from Technical University of Munich, along with education from Babson College and Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
