Nina Szirmay-Kalos

Nina Szirmay-Kalos has extensive work experience in the communications and public relations field. Nina began their career as a Marketing Research Assistant at Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2006. Nina then joined McCann Erickson Communications House as a Public Relations Account Trainee, where they gained experience in media relations and client management. In 2009, they worked as an Assistant Consultant at Hill & Knowlton.

Nina then joined Citizen Relations/ Optimum International as a Senior Account Manager, where they managed and supported teams to achieve results for various clients, including P&G and KAO-John Frieda. Nina also served as a Senior Media Strategist & Account Manager, providing strategic insight and training to junior staff.

In 2013, Nina joined Veritas Communications as a Director, and later became a Senior Director. Nina was then promoted to Vice President in 2015, and later took on the role of Group Vice President. Nina left Veritas briefly in 2019 to work as the SVP, Client Service at Meat & Produce.

Nina returned to Veritas Communications in 2020, where they currently hold the position of EVP, General Manager. Throughout their career, Nina has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a strategic approach to client service and media relations.

Nina Szirmay-Kalos has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Administration from Memorial University of Newfoundland, which they obtained from 2001 to 2007. Nina then pursued a Masters in International Public Relations from The Manchester Metropolitan University's MMU Business School, completing it from 2007 to 2009. In 2010 to 2011, they engaged in business and professional studies at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies. Recently, in 2018, they completed an executive training program in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services at Columbia University.
