Sanjay Poonen

Sanjay Poonen is the CEO and President of Cohesity, leading an AI-powered data security platform since August 2022. Concurrently, Sanjay serves as a member of the Supervisory Board of Directors and Audit Committee at Philips, as well as a member of the Board of Directors and Compensation and Nominating/Governance Committees at Snyk, a developer security leader. Sanjay has been an Investor Affiliate at Webb Investment Network since August 2013, providing guidance on startup selections. Previously, Sanjay held the position of Chief Operating Officer at VMware from August 2013 to August 2021, driving significant revenue growth and strategic partnerships. Additional board roles include serving on the boards of Dell Boomi and Infor, and advisory positions at DocuSign and Zoom. Sanjay's earlier experience includes a presidency at SAP, where revenue doubled under leadership. Sanjay holds an MBA from Harvard University, an A.B. in Computer Science and Engineering/Math from Dartmouth College, and a Master’s in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
