Ben Johnston

Ben Johnston has over 20 years of experience in various roles within the financial and consulting industries. Ben started their career as a Capacity Manager at AT&T in 2001 before transitioning to roles at RSM US LLP and Delong Consulting Services. Ben then held positions at Weaver, including Senior Manager in Risk Advisory Services. Most recently, they served as the Internal Audit Director at Hilltop Holdings and currently works as the EVP Chief Audit Executive at Veritex Community Bank.

Ben Johnston holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Vanderbilt University, obtained in 1999. Ben also earned a Master of Science in Accounting from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2005. Additionally, Ben received certifications in Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) in 2017 and Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) in 2013 from the Institute Of Internal Auditors.
