Angus MacDonald

Angus MacDonald has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Angus most recently worked at Verlume as an Operations Manager, starting in April 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Workshop Manager at Verlume from July 2021 to April 2022. Earlier in their career, Angus worked as a Production Manager at Completion Products Ltd from September to December 2019. Angus also held the role of Production Manager at Control Valve Solutions Ltd from September 2018 to August 2019, where they led a team of engineers and focused on delivering high-quality valve solutions to the Oil and Gas industry. Angus spent a significant portion of their career at Aker Solutions, initially as the Workshop/Plant Manager from December 2006 to July 2015 and later as the Manufacturing Plant and Service base Manager from April 2017 to August 2018. During their time at Aker Solutions, they were responsible for manufacturing subsea controls systems and ensuring adherence to HSE regulations. Angus started their career at Scotrail in 1993, eventually becoming the Engineering Manager at the Inverness T & RS Depot from October 1999 to May 2006. Angus also served as the Maintenance Team Leader and Maintenance Charge hand at Scotrail. Prior to their tenure at Scotrail, Angus worked at British Rail as an Electrical/Mechanical technician and began their career as an Apprentice Electrical/Mechanical technician.

Angus MacDonald began their education at Inverness High School, where they attended from 1977 to 1982. After completing high school, they enrolled at UHI in 1982 for further studies in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. In the same year, Angus also attended Inverness Technical College, where they pursued City & Guilds in Electrical/Mechanical Craft Studies. Angus'stime at Inverness Technical College lasted until 1983. From 1983 to 1986, Angus attended Springburn College, where they completed City & Guilds in Electrical/Mechanical City & Guilds.
