Dan Nelson

Dan Nelson has served as the Assistant Administrator at Vernon Memorial Healthcare since September 2012, overseeing various departments including Food and Nutrition, Clinical Dietetics, and Corporate and Community Health and Wellness. Prior to this role, Dan held the position of Assistant Administrator for Clinic Operations, managing therapies and rural health clinics. Dan's extensive coaching experience at Westby Area High School includes roles as Head Football Coach and Assistant Varsity Football Coach, having transitioned from a Defensive Coordinator and linebacker/assistant coach. Dan began their career at Vernon Memorial Hospital as a PT Manager from 1988 to 2012. Educational credentials include a degree in Human Biology from Brown University and further studies at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
