Eddie Williams

Eddie Williams has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Eddie is currently serving as the Senior Director of Information Security, Governance, Risk, and Compliance - IT Security at Versant Health. Previously, they held the position of Board Vice President at CyberUp, where they led the strategy development for the non-profit organization. Prior to that, Eddie worked as the Senior Manager of Advisory Services at Cyber Defense Labs, where they led a team of consultants in conducting assessments and designing strategies for clients.

Before joining Cyber Defense Labs, Eddie worked at PwC as a Manager in Cybersecurity Consulting, where they built and nurtured valuable relationships with clients and led diverse teams to deliver work products on time and under budget. Eddie also held the position of Cyber Security Program Director / Intelligence and Security Consultant at Corporate Risk Solutions, Inc., where they directed the enterprise-wide Cybersecurity Information Protection Program.

Eddie's experience also includes roles at CACI International Inc/Mission Essential, Akima Support Operations, BAE Systems, and the US Army. In these roles, they served as a CIAT HUMINT Collection Manager, Intelligence Training, and Operations Co-Director, Human Terrain Analyst, HUMINT Team Leader, and IT Supervisor/IT Manager.

Through their various roles, Eddie has demonstrated leadership, relationship-building, and technical excellence, and has successfully directed programs, conducted assessments, and developed strategies to ensure security and compliance.

Eddie Williams obtained their Master's degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University, which they completed in 2022. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from Jackson State University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Eddie received their high school diploma from Warren Central High School, completing their secondary education between 1994 and 1999.

Additionally, Eddie has acquired several certifications throughout their career. In 2021, they obtained the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) v11 certification from EC-Council. In 2018, they completed the B2B Foundations: Social Media Marketing certification from Lynda.com. Furthermore, in 2015, they received a Certificate of Completion in AMA's PMP Exam Prep Express from the American Management Association. Eddie also holds a Certificate of Completion in AMA's Comprehensive Project Management Workshop, which they acquired in 2014. Eddie has pursued further certifications including the Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) from EC-Council and the National Infrastructure Protection Planning certification from the US Department of Homeland Security.
