Adam Dalton

Adam Dalton has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting roles. Adam is currently serving as the Director of Finance & Accounting at Versett since May 2022. Before this, they worked as a Controller at Versett from January 2022 to May 2022. Prior to their time at Versett, Adam was the Corporate Controller at Atlas Development Corporation (Calgary) from June 2019 to January 2022. At Atlas Development, they managed the accounting, financial reporting, and income tax filing for multiple corporate entities. Adam also supervised accountants and provided accounting oversight and technical support. Adam also worked as a Senior Financial Reporting Specialist at Berkshire Hathaway Energy Canada from November 2017 to June 2019. Additionally, they were a Controller at US Oil Sands Inc. from May 2013 to November 2017, where they managed various aspects of the business, including finance, treasury management, and regulatory reporting. Adam started their career as a Senior Accountant at Grant Thornton LLP from September 2008 to April 2012, specializing in large private and small/mid-size public companies. In this role, they supervised junior staff members and worked on tax returns, special projects, and internal controls testing. Prior to their current position at Versett, Adam has gained valuable experience in financial management, accounting oversight, and regulatory compliance in various industries.

Adam Dalton attended the University of Calgary from 2003 to 2008, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Accounting. After completing their degree, they obtained a Chartered Accountant certification from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in May 2011.
