Marvin Lavy, MS, MBA, has extensive experience in finance and leadership roles. Marvin started their career as a Finance Director at Prudential Healthcare from 1996 to 1999. Marvin then joined Pharmacia & Upjohn as a Finance Director for Global Pharmaceutical Operations from 1999 to 2001. Marvin then worked at Novartis as a Finance Director, overseeing the finance function of the Customer Excellence group and serving as a central liaison between business units and sales teams. Marvin also held the position of Director of Sales Operations and Technology, managing sales operations, trade spending, and sales systems management.

In 2007, Marvin founded their own consulting company, Lavy Financial Solutions, where they provided strategic consulting and operational services to various clients, including Vertellus, Pfizer, Nestle/Gerber. Additionally, they worked directly with Vertellus Specialty Materials (VSM) Division as the Director of Finance, providing operational financial leadership and financial planning and analysis support.

Marvin then joined Vertellus in 2013 as the Finance Director for the Vertellus Specialty Materials (VSM) Division. In this role, they oversaw finance operations and collaborated with commercial and operations teams to make strategic business and investment decisions. Marvin also directed the budgeting and forecasting process, upgraded systems, and developed the global finance team to identify insights and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.

Later, Marvin became the Director of Finance at Vertellus, where they headed global finance operations for the $600M global specialty chemicals business. Marvin delivered ongoing financial insights to boost business performance, achieving significant improvements in gross profit percentage and EBITDA growth by analyzing the evolving competitive landscape, product costs, plant financial performance, and SG&A.

Following this, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering at Cornell University. Lastly, Marvin obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance and Management from Columbia Business School.
