Kai Wang

Kai Wang, PhD, PMP, currently serves as a Senior Manager at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, focusing on the process development of embryonic stem cell expansion and differentiation since December 2022. Prior to this role, Kai held the position of Director of Technical Operations at Applied StemCell, overseeing strategic genome editing technique development and advanced therapy medicinal products. With extensive experience in academia and industry, Kai has contributed to various roles, including Assistant Professor positions at Baylor College of Medicine and Michigan State University, where work centered on stem cell biology, cardiac diseases, and epigenetics. Educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and a Master's in Transgenic Animal Biology from Northeast Agricultural University, along with a PhD from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
