Tim Coon

Tim Coon is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Currently serving as a Principal Scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since November 2009, Tim has progressed through various roles, including Senior Research Scientist and Research Associate. Prior to this, Tim held the position of Manager of Business Development at Sundia MediTech, where responsibilities included developing collaborations for biotech outsourcing services. Tim's earlier career features a 12-year tenure at Neurocrine Biosciences as a Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry, focusing on drug discovery, multi-step synthesis, and lead optimization. Tim holds a degree from Point Loma Nazarene University, obtained between 1992 and 1997.
