Cathy McIntosh has a diverse work experience in the field of web development and software engineering. Cathy began their career in 2003 as a Web Design & Development Contractor at NetCounselor.Net, where they designed, coded, and implemented dynamic client websites using Cold Fusion, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop. Cathy also worked with clients to maintain and upgrade existing sites.

In 2007, Cathy joined the Society for Conservation Biology as a Webmaster. Cathy was responsible for updating and maintaining the society's public site, member site, and intranet. Cathy coordinated a site-wide redesign and overhaul, including a conversion from ColdFusion to Expression Engine platform. Cathy developed dynamic applications using various software and platforms.

Cathy then worked as a Web Developer at Tagence, Inc. in 2017, where they contributed to improving user experience by resolving software bugs and enhancing team documentation. Cathy also aided in keeping the ColdFusion site, pages, and forms current according to the contract.

Cathy briefly worked as a Web Designer at ePN in 2017 and later returned to Tagence, Inc. in the same year to work as a Software Engineer. In this role, they continued to improve user experience and resolved software bugs using ColdFusion and jQuery.

Most recently, Cathy joined VerticalApps in 2023 as an Intelligent Automation Developer.

Cathy McIntosh began their education in 1991 at The University of Alabama, where they studied Computer Science until 1993. Cathy then transferred to San Jose State University in 1994 and completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 1995. In addition to their formal education, Cathy has also obtained several certifications, including becoming a UiPath Advanced RPA Developer in June 2022, a RPA Associate in April 2022, and a [PCEP-30-01] PCEP – Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer from the Python Institute in April 2021.
