István Kánvási has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. István currently holds the position of Head of Supply Chain Performance - EMEA at Vertiv since January 2019. Prior to this, they were the Procurement Business Leader at Vertiv Co./ Industrial Systems from February 2017 to December 2018 and at Vertiv Co./ Thermal Management from February 2014 to February 2017. Before joining Vertiv, István worked at Emerson Energy Systems as a Commodity Manager from February 2009 to February 2014, and at Emerson Electric Co as a Corporate Commodity Manager from June 2006 to February 2009. István also gained valuable experience as a Commodity Manager and Project Buyer at Knorr-Bremse Break Systems from October 2004 to June 2006 and from April 2001 to October 2004, respectively. István started their career as a Project Leader at TOWIN Ltd from October 2000 to April 2001 and worked as a Mould Designer at Legrand Inc. from May 1999 to October 2000. István began their professional journey as a Development Engineer at PROTETIM Medical Instrument Ltd from August 1996 to May 1999 and also briefly served as an IT Instructor at the College of Mechanical Engineering and Automation from September 1995 to February 1996.
István Kánvási holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Central European University, which they completed from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Mechanical Engineering and Automation between 1992 and 1996. István also pursued a second Bachelor's degree in IT teaching from the same college, which they completed from 1992 to 1995. István's educational journey started with a Technician in Electronics degree from the Kossuth Zsuzsanna Technical School, which they earned from 1987 to 1992.
