Michael Millar

Michael Millar is the founder and CEO of Verto Health. Michael has over 15 years of experience in the field of business intelligence and ehealth. Prior to Verto Health, they were the AVP of Business Intelligence at Home Trust Company from September 2014 to April 2017. Michael was also the eHealth Strategy Lead at the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care from March 2012 to September 2014, where they were responsible for guiding the development of a new provincial ehealth strategy, monitoring and guiding the management of ~$500M in provincial ehealth projects, and was widely regarded as a resource on technology best practices. Prior to that, they were the Support & Implementation Lead at HInext from July 2005 to June 2008. Michael also worked as a Support Analyst at TELUS from September 2002 to June 2003, and as a Systems Administrator / Web Designer at the Telehealth Technology Research Institute from October 2001 to May 2002.

Michael Millar has a Master of Health Informatics from the University of Toronto and a BSc. in Computer Science from the University of Alberta with a minor in Business. Michael is also certified from ISACA in CGEIT.
