Chet Hayes has a diverse and extensive work experience in various technology-related roles. Chet started their career as a Software Engineer at HUGHES INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY LIMITED in 1995. From there, they worked as a Senior Java Architect at Sun Microsystems before joining Visulent as the Chief Architect/Practice Manager. Chet then moved to BEA Systems, where they served as the Manager of Systems Engineering Special Programs. Chet also worked at AgilePath Corporation as the Vice President of Professional Services, Federal.
In 2009, Chet joined MarkLogic as the Director of Global Public Sector Solutions, and in 2012, they joined SAIC as the Vice President and Deputy Chief Technology Officer. At SAIC, they later became the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Enterprise IT. In 2014, Chet joined InfoZen as the Chief Technology Officer.
In 2016, Chet joined General Dynamics Information Technology as the Chief Digital Strategist, and later that year, they moved to Vertosoft as the Chief Technology Officer.
Chet Hayes has a diverse education history. Chet obtained a Master of Information Technology degree from Virginia Tech from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, in 2013, they completed an Executive Education program called Design Thinking Bootcamp at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. In 1992, they earned their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.
In addition to their formal education, Chet has also obtained several certifications. In 2016, they became a Certified SAFe Agilist and obtained the Scaled Agile Framework Product Manager/Product Owner certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. Chet also holds the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services, which they earned in March 2016.
