Brendan Quinlivan

Technical Product Manager at Verve Motion

Brendan Quinlivan has a diverse work experience, beginning with a Quality Assurance Internship at Carrier IQ in 2010. In 2011, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Kiva Systems. In 2012, they were a Research Assistant at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, where they focused on developing a lightweight, efficient, and nonrestrictive suit that helps improve physical endurance. In 2013, they were a Teaching Assistant at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering and a Research Assistant at Harvard University School of Engineering and Applied Science, where they worked on human subject testing and the development of an exosuit. From 2014 to 2020, they were a PhD Student at Harvard University, where they led an interdisciplinary team to develop the first wearable robot for at home gait rehabilitation of stroke survivors and worked on a large interdisciplinary team to develop a lightweight, mobile, wearable robotic soft exosuit. Since 2020, they have been a Technical Product Manager and System Engineer at Verve Motion.

Brendan Quinlivan attended Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor's of Science in Engineering with a concentration in Biomechanics. Brendan then went on to Harvard University, where they obtained a Master of Science in Engineering Sciences in 2018 and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering in 2020.
