John Forster

John Forster has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. John started their career at Eaton as a Controls Automation Engineer and worked there from November 1988 to December 1996.

In 1997, they joined Electronic Data Systems and held multiple roles such as Subject Matter Expert, Launch Project Lead, and Program Launch Manager. John led the delivery of plant-floor Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and integration services for automotive body shops supporting new General Motors product launches.

In 2007, they moved to HP, where they served as a Global Program Business Manager. John led the start-up of a new global team focused on deploying global manufacturing information and execution systems to General Motors manufacturing facilities.

From 2013 to 2019, John worked at General Motors as a Senior IT Delivery Manager. John was responsible for delivering integrated plant floor and manufacturing support IT solutions to a global user base. John also served as an organizational leader, handling performance management, compensation, and hiring.

Currently, John is the Director of Cloud Solutions at VEST, Inc., a position they have held since May 2019.

John Forster received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara.
