Shannon Cooper

Shannon Cooper is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in philanthropic services and nonprofit leadership. Currently serving as the Director of the Philanthropic Services Division at BWF since 2022, Shannon aids nonprofit organizations in enhancing their philanthropic capabilities through innovative technology and process improvements. Shannon also contributes as a member of VEST, a network for women leaders. As the Principal of Happy Books and Bites LLC since 2021, Shannon encourages personal exploration through travel notebooks. Previous roles include Director of Research and Insight at the American Red Cross (2008-2020), where Shannon advanced through various positions focused on program development and team leadership. Shannon's earlier career includes significant roles at Grameen Foundation USA, Polk County Community Foundation, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and Wilkinson Center, showcasing a strong track record in fundraising, program management, and strategic growth. Shannon possesses degrees from Barnard College and Southern Methodist University.
