Nicolas Blum has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Nicolas is currently the Co-Founder of VESTIGAS, a position they started in July 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Doctoral Student at Linde Engineering starting in May 2019. From January 2019 onwards, they served as a Senior AI Engineer & Project Manager at appliedAI Initiative - UnternehmerTUM, and before that, they worked as an AI Engineer & Consultant from December 2017 to December 2018 at the same company. Nicolas also worked as part of the Innovation Consulting team at UnternehmerTUM - Zentrum für Innovation und Gründung an der TU München from July 2016 to December 2017. Additionally, Nicolas served as a Project Manager & Member of the Board at Academy Consult München e.V. from November 2012 to December 2017. Nicolas worked as a Hardware and Software Engineer (Freelancer) at Biocon GmbH from August 2012 to November 2017. Nicolas also gained experience as a Communication Engineer (Master Thesis) at Rohde & Schwarz from September 2015 to April 2016, as a System Engineer (Freelancer) at OHB System from September 2014 to September 2015, and as a Hardware and Embedded Software Engineer (Bachelor Thesis & Working Student) at Kayser-Threde GmbH from May 2013 to August 2014. Nicolas started their career as a Team Leader & Tutor at Project eCARus (TU Munich) in November 2011 and held the position until October 2013. Overall, Nicolas has a strong background in AI engineering, project management, innovation consulting, and engineering across multiple industries.
Nicolas Blum began their education in 2011 at the Technical University of Munich, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Elektro- und Informationstechnik. Nicolas completed their undergraduate studies in 2014.
Following their bachelor's degree, Nicolas continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Elektro- und Informationstechnik, as well as a Master in Management. Nicolas attended the Technical University of Munich from 2014 to 2017, during which they acquired their dual master's degrees.
Nicolas Blum is currently studying at the Technical University of Munich once again, as they commenced their doctoral studies in 2019. Nicolas is pursuing a Promotion (Dr.-ing.) degree in Process Engineering, which is expected to be completed in 2023.
