Michelle McKenzie has over 15 years of experience in marketing and strategic planning. Michelle is currently working as the Head of Strategy, Marketing & Communications at VETASSESS since May 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Marketing Manager (Volunteer) at Cancer Support Angels starting from July 2021. In 2021, they also had a parental leave. From June 2019 to February 2021, Michelle worked as a Marketing Manager, Strategic Portfolio Management (Contract) at Mondelēz International. Michelle had another parental leave from May 2018 to May 2019. In January 2018, they were a Category & Research Manager (Contract) at Swisse Wellness. Prior to that, they held the position of Global Consumer Insights Manager at Treasury Wine Estates from May 2016 to November 2017. From January 2014 to March 2016, Michelle worked as an Associate Director - Global Strategic Insights at Johnson & Johnson. Michelle also served as the Head of Insights - ANZ at The Kraft Heinz Company from August 2011 to December 2013. Michelle's earlier experience includes being a Strategic Planning Manager - EMEA at Beverage Partners Worldwide from February 2008 to June 2011.
Michelle McKenzie has a BA in Psychology from James Cook University, which they obtained from 1995 to 1997. Michelle later pursued an MBA in Marketing from the same university, completing it from 1998 to 2001. In 2016 and 2017, Michelle completed Level 1 and Level 2 from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. Currently, they are enrolled in the Cert IV in Training and Assessment program at Plenty Training, expected to be completed in 2023.
